Adventure Holidays In Japan |
Made up of a string of islands, Japan is one of the most seismically active regions in the world. Many of the country’s 3000km of mountains are volcanic, while the highest of them is Mt Fuji, at 3776m. Thanks to the volcanoes hot springs are plentiful, while the south is subtropical and the arctic-circle encompasses the north. Spectacular mountain scenery is to be found in the alpine regions of central Honshū and the natural parks of Hokkaido .
