Adventure Holidays In Singapore |
Made up of a main island and 58 nearby islands, Singapore is a land of contrasts. While the centre of Singapore Island consists of fertile hills and the highest point, the 165 metre Bukit Timah Peakhe, western and southwestern regions consist of low, steep ridges. To the east streams flow through steep-sided valleys and gullies, some of which flow into the sea through mangrove swamps and lagoons. Singapore ’s daily high temperatures are moderated by sea breezes.
ADVENTURE SPORTS IN SINGAPORE
Watersports are popular in Singapore , with canoeing leading the way. There are also numerous scuba diving schools offering PADI or NAUI recognised courses. Day and night diving in local waters and nearby Malaysia are also available. Sailing and windsurfing is generally popular on the eastern coast, where most facilities are located. Waterskiing is popular too, while for cycling enthusiasts, paths link many parts of the island.
