Adventure Holidays In Switzerland |
Sitting squarely in the heart of Western Europe , land-locked Switzerland is a country of soaring white-capped mountains, chartreuse forests, stunning glaciers and Alpine meadows. The Alps occupy the central and southern regions of the country, where nature is at its most impressive and the highest peak is Dufour summit of Monte Rosa, at 4634m. The more moderate Jura Mountains are found in the northeast. Between the two mountain systems lies The Bernese Mittelland, an area that boasts plush grassy hillsides, icily beautiful rivers and winding valleys.
