Gliding
Beginner
Gliding is a fun and accessible adventure sport that will take you to dizzying new heights. If you're interested in finding out more about gliding but don't know where to start, the best way to begin is to enrol on a short course of group or private lessons to see if gliding is for you. Many operators offer ‘primer courses’ that let you get acquainted with gliding in a dual controlled glider accompanied by a fully qualified instructor. If you enjoy your single-visit we strongly recommend that you enrol on a multiple-visit course.
Intermediate
If you already have basic gliding knowledge and would like to achieve solo flight, there are many ways you can improve your gliding skills. Most intermediate lessons will focus on strict safety standards and how to apply these rigorously. Lessons are given privately, allowing you the opportunity to hone specific skills such as cross-country flying.
Advanced
If you’re an ambitious intermediate or advanced glider striving to break through to the next level, honing your skills further means you’ll be able to learn more advanced techniques that will enrich your gliding experience. Many advanced gliding lessons encourage you to practice your glider handling skills in a variety of challenging conditions. If you enjoy gliding so much that you’re considering becoming a gliding instructor, you must take an accredited Instructor Training Course to gain teaching experience as well as technical improvements.
