Safari
Beginner
Safaris let you get up close and personal with abundant wildlife and stunning scenery. If you're interested in finding out more about safaris but don't know where to start, the best way to begin is to enrol on a day safari. Many operators offer short eco-tours that let you see if safaris are for you. If you enjoy your single-visit we strongly recommend that you enrol on a longer safari.
Intermediate
If you already have basic safari knowledge and would like to extend your experiences, there are many ways you can do so. Most week-long safaris will focus on driving in an open top safari vehicle among unspoilt wilderness. They will concentrate on one or more exotic animals and even give you the option of a self-drive safari where you’ll have the freedom and independence to explore landscapes at your own pace.
Advanced
If you’re an ambitious safari lover striving to break through to the next level, honing your self drive skills means you’ll be able to learn more advanced techniques that will enrich your safari experience. Many self-drive lessons focus on 4wd defensive driver training, 4wd self recovery, 4wd bush driving, hazard awareness, space management and more. If you enjoy self drive safaris so much that you’re considering becoming a safari leader, we recommend you take an accredited Instructor Training Course to gain teaching experience as well as technical improvements.
