Beginner
The first time you hit the snowy slopes seamlessly is a thrilling and unforgettable experience. If you're interested in finding out more about skiing but don't know where to start, the best way to begin is to enrol on a short course of group or private lessons to see if skiing is for you. Many resorts offer one day ‘primer clinics’ that let you to get acquainted with skiing. If you enjoy your primer clinic we strongly recommend that you enrol on a multiple-day course.
Intermediate
If you already know the basics of diagonal stride, double pole and double pole single kick, but want to improve your technique and learn tricks to go faster, descend and climb; you can continue your adventures with an advanced training course. Most advanced courses will work on improving parallel turns and eliminating ‘that stem.’ There is usually the opportunity to take lessons privately as well as part of a group, giving you the opportunity to hone specific skills such as ski skating and Nordic downhill
Advanced
If you’re an ambitious intermediate or advanced skier striving to break through to the next level, honing your skills with a qualified instructor means you’ll be able to enjoy skiing proficiently in any snow, in any condition and on any terrain. Many advanced skiing lessons combine video analysis with a personalised profile to improve your performance in all areas, and with expert guidance, you’ll be able to master techniques you may not have even known about. If you enjoy skiing so much that you’re considering becoming a ski instructor, we recommend that you take an Instructor Training Course to gain teaching experience as well as technical improvements.
