Snowboarding
Beginner
Countless snowboarding tricks, big air jumps, powder rides, and cliff jumps are possible with a little experience. If you're interested in finding out more about snowboarding but don't know where to start, the best way to begin is to enrol on a short course of group or private lessons to see if snowboarding is for you. Many resorts offer single-visit ‘primer courses’ that let you to get acquainted with snowboarding. If you enjoy your single-visit we strongly recommend that you enrol on a multiple-visit course.
Intermediate
If you already know how to refine turns for a smoother ride and can manage turn shape and size, there are many ways you can develop your technique. Most advanced lessons will place an emphasis on both freestyle and freeriding. There is usually the opportunity to take lessons privately as well as part of a group, giving you the opportunity to hone specific skills such as learning new tricks that you may be interested in.
Advanced
If you’re an ambitious intermediate or advanced boarder striving to break through to the next level, honing your skills with a qualified instructor means you’ll be able to fine tune those stylish tricks and work on technique so you can ride harder and longer. Many advanced skiing lessons combine video analysis with a personalised profile to improve your performance in all areas, and with expert guidance, you’ll be able to master techniques and tricks you may not have even known about. If you enjoy snowboarding so much that you’re considering becoming a snowboarding instructor, we recommend that you take an Instructor Training Course to gain teaching experience as well as technical improvements.
